Bear & Ragged StaffGood26 Apr 2012 A tangy beer with a medium dry finish - difficult to describe a genre for this ale. Certainly pale but not what I would describe as bitter? Anyway, very nice and seemingly everybody's favourite tonight.

Martin the MildmanGood20 Sep 2011 One of the original new wave pale bitters with American hops. Still a good match for the newer examples, crisp and hoppy with citrus notes and a dry finish. My score 15/20.

IanPoor21 Oct 2005 Think that this may have been getting a bit tired like me at the end of an 11 hour session on the Friday. Golden, no head. Hay and stale malt on nose. Some hop, some acid in mouth. End has dusty hop. Disappointing and not how I remembered it in the Head of Steam
