Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

IanPoor15 Dec 2005 Can’t tell whether this is diacetyl heavy or its supposed to have som much buttery toffee on it, but given a bit of thought, I tend towards the former. Butterscotch and hop on aroma, bit bready too. OK in mouth, bit sour with hop on finish, which is really quite drying

The Archibald Simpson, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire

RayPoor07 Aug 2013 More cardboard than beer but suspect this is more about the serve than the brew.
McGargleAcceptable07 Oct 2010 Probably an unfair rating as 5am Saint from The Moorings was still with me. Lot's of different hops used but couldn't taste them

The County Hotel, Ashford, Kent

IanGood28 Jul 2013 Again good condition and decent hops
IanExcellent06 Oct 2010 Wow the hops on this are huge and gives good tangerine and orange flavours. The hops on the finish are excellent and stand out.
