Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

ChrisEAcceptable03 Sep 2016 I did not really enjoy this, it was a tad too cold and reminded me of sour apples.

TobesNot Tried15 Aug 2015 My dad ordered this, looked awful one sip from me and it was sent back. Changed for another and taken off sale.

The Kings Head, Wye, Kent

ChrisEExcellent31 Jul 2015 A very well kept pint.

Stephen HarrisAcceptable16 Jul 2014 Mindful of Philip Pirrip’s comments from yesterday I had a good look at the pumpclip and on this one the beer strength was given, albeit not prominently. Amber-coloured. Lots of Goldings hop character. Fell flat very quickly in the glass and just not very exciting really.

The Lock & Barrel, Frinton-on-Sea, Essex

HSBPoor21 Jul 2015 Far too sweet. It was a struggle to drink it.

Philip PirripExcellent15 Jul 2014 Excellent yet it turned out to be the last from the cask. I could see no abv on clip for some inexplicable reason and I notice from Shep's website this is now 4.1% not the 4.7% of the past. Hmmh

Singleton Barn, Ashford, Kent
