Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

IanPoor14 Jul 2009 Deep copper, it’s probably the least bad of the 4 Derby beers I had as part of the rack. Still too syrupy on the malts, but at least some mineral character is there. OK bitter.

Bear & Ragged StaffGood25 Oct 2012 A deep golden beer. In all honesty, having taken one gulp I was ready to leave this as one for the 'beer tickers'. Then other flavours came forward, yes a bit syrupy but it was also earthy, fruity and delicately hoppy. A bit thin on body, otherwise not bad.

Greyhound, Derby, Derbyshire
