Bear & Ragged StaffExcellent24 Apr 2012 Copper / chestnut coloured, medium bitter. An awful lot going on in the glass but the outcome is pleasing. Confirms my previous opinions of this premium ale.
Bear & Ragged StaffGood14 Nov 2011 Bordering on excellent - a dark, not quite full bitter (in my opinion, definitely not a mild), a little malt, a little fruit and a little, but lasting, hoppy bitterness. Very nice.

Martin the MildmanGood06 Mar 2010 Served too cold so some of the flavours were struggling, but could taste malt and a little fruity hop balance in this ruby mild style ale. My score 15/20.

IanAcceptable14 May 2006 Copper colour, thin off white head. Not sure of beer quality on this. I think a good pint would be excellent, excellent hop, earthy, tangy, some good malt, red berry fruit. Bit sickly on finish
