Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

IanAcceptable08 Sep 2009 It was hot outside, so I can forgive the serving temp of this beer maybe not being as cold as I would have liked. Some tea flavour that can creep into Harviestoun beers. It's ok, just not as fresh as I remember it, cold and bitingly hoppy. Got better as I drank it, but at £3.45 a pint, can I have it colder?

IanGood08 May 2009 I very much like this beer, very good condition in mouth, very biting hops on finish. For a cask conditioned lager, it's fantastic.

IanGood01 Aug 2007 This disappeared in minutes. Good hop and it is just a very refreshing drinkable quaffing beer.

IanPoor31 Jul 2005 Tasted of tea, not very pleasant at all. Shame when it was so fantastic on the Thursday
IanGood30 Jul 2005 Not as good as it was on Thursday evening, may have been going
IanExcellent28 Jul 2005 Not really a lager. Citrus sherbert aroma with carbonation and sherbert in the mouth with more citrus and berry fruit flavours leads to a dry nettle hop finish. Superb
