Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

IanGood21 Mar 2007 Black beer with brown edges, lasting beige head. So this is good. There has been a lot of traffic on Scoopgen about this beer. Some dark malts on aroma, good sourish dark fruits, bit of dark choc. Juicy, rather than powdery, but there is roasted dryness and some hop on end. Intense finish of sour fruit, bit of liquorice, some molasses. Oddly likeable. Not a bitter mind, more an old ale or porter.
