These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

BlairExcellent22 May 2009 Light and hoppy bitter. A little malty with a bit of citrus, a really good beer actually.

The Rake, Southwark, Central London

Fly in the Loaf, Liverpool, Merseyside

IanExceptional23 Mar 2007 Amber colour with lasting beige head. Superb bitter, ticks all the boxes and then some. Had the Matthews 40 Yard at Dover BF and was amazed by it. US style hops on aroma. Decent malts in mouth, quite soft, so drinkable. Some malt roundness. Hop on end is distinctive and works well again, some US sherberty grapefruity hop.
