Brian		16 Jan 2010	Amber/honey colour. Soft fruit aroma, banana, mango that type of thing, not lemony. More orange/yellow fruit in mouth, some syrup but not cloying at all, sharp and clean. Flavours perfectly integrated, not loose, lingering intense bitter finish. Better than Jaipur? Maybe, ask me after Wednesday.

Ian		10 Oct 2009	Take one of the best breweries in Britain, take Nelson Sauvin hops, take the best cellarman in Kent. What you have is stunning. I've had this quite a few times, but the intensity of the gooseberry/grapefruit/tropical fruits in the mouth and on the swallow were shear perfection. A little sweaty sox on the aroma, but the flavour on the swallow was so good, I couldn't fault it.

Ian		17 Jul 2009	After having this not on form in Derby on the Tuesday and then on the previous evening at this pub, this was astonishing. Even Jacob from Ratebeer only wanted to drink this. The Nelson Sauvin hops were outstanding.

Bit hazy and according to Haddonsman (beer blogger from Derby) the brewery isn't quite settled at the moment preparing on the move to Bakewell and some yeast problems too. Having said that the hops are unbelievably aggressive. Pale grapefruit aroma, but then on the finish the b nettle hop almost strips the tongue. Anyone who loves Kiwi Sauvignon Blanc or Loire S Blanc should get themselves a mini keg of this stuff. The fruit is sublime

Dubbel		31 Mar 2009	A knockout ale, so fruity and exotic. Thornbridge beers too often coming out the barrel with a slight haze on of late. Apparently a yeast issue acknowledged by the brewery. Fortunately the flavour was not noticeably affected.

Dubbel		16 Mar 2009	The main event. Spritely citric beast of a pale ale. Rasping grapefruit and lime mingle with softer kiwi and mandarin notes in spite of the foggy appearance. Not quite at showcase condition.
Dubbel		05 Feb 2009	South-pacific pale ale laden with antipodean hops, giving tropical, kiwi and passion fruit flavours the like of which I have never tasted before. Wonderful.

Ian		04 May 2007	Beer of the festival for me. Gold colour with lasting white head. Lovely, lovely aroma, fruits are limes, grapefruit, kiwi fruit, gooseberry, like a New World Sauvignon Blanc. Stunning in mouth. Awesome. The amount of fruity hop, great condtion, fresh, not flabby or astringent. Just fantastic flavour.
