Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

IanPoor11 Feb 2009 Very dark brown, thin disappearing dark beige head. Made with a Beglian yeast clearly. Bit sour, bit too banana ester. Not my kinda thing. Bit too sweet. Good attempt, but poorish execution. The esters and sweetness are almost unpleasant.

IanAcceptable23 Aug 2008 Dark brown, thin beige head. Tastes as though it's brewed with a Belgian yeast. Very much in the Belgian dubbel style. Again like the Twickenham/Struise porter, just a bit watery in mouth. It's alright, quite tasty, decent malts. Does a decent impression.
