IanExcellent27 Oct 2009 Really good. I mean excellent malts, good bit of date cake, some choc and coffee, good condition and really drinkable.
IanAcceptable11 Nov 2008 Fruity dark beer. It's not quite right I think. Some damson/date/plum flavour. Odd sourness to it. Then I discovered that it is an old ale and therefore should taste like this with that bit of sourness.

IanGood07 Apr 2007 Very dark black/ruby colour with thin beige head. Liquorice and dark malt aroma. Some sour brambley dark fruit. Nice liquorice molasses flavour. Satisfying warming dark beer with choc/coffee making an appearance towards the finish. Pleasant.
