Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

DubbelExcellent06 Oct 2009 Deep ruby, palate of smoked Bavarian cheese reminiscent of Springhead Leveller. More of a porteresque fullness of body though and yet more smoke on the finish. Lovely balance. Cements my high opinion of this fine midland brewery.

IanAcceptable02 Dec 2008 Deep ruby colour. Yeah its got some smoked notes. Its ok, nothing too exciting. No real condition, some smokey choc.
