IanExceptional19 Jun 2009 Ever since having the Black Ice I’ve always had a soft spot for this brewery. Mid chestnut in colour, lasting thin dark beige head. Great looking beer. After 3 bottles of German lager, this is great. A malty best bitter, full in mouth and then this burst of hedgerow green earthy hop. So drinkable it’s untrue. Lacing on the glass to die for. The peppery/nettle/green hawthorn leaf hop on the finish is outstanding. It’s just one of the best, best bitter I’ve had. Bursting with malt and red fruits and hedgerow hops. Outstanding.
