IanGood01 Nov 2008 There aren't that many Belgian cask conditioned beers out there, but this one does show that they can do it. Belgian, estery, frutiy yeast aroma with decent tangerine and peach fruit in the mouth. Good fullness in the mouth. Nothing out of place.
IanGood15 May 2006 Red/copper colour with thin beige head. Lovely Belgian 8% beer with lovely clear red fruit, Belgian yeast and some good hop. Excellent beer. Dangerous at 8% though.
IanAcceptable31 Oct 2005 Strange to find this on draught. Copper colour with lasting off white head. Hoppy/yeast aroma with sweetish caramel and hop in mouth. Alcohol kick on end. Smoother than in a bottle.

Brouwerij Het Anker Gouden Carolus Ambrio

8.00% ABV.

This full-tasting, but deceptively drinkable, amber ale has a good fruitiness and a nice hop edge which tempers the caramelised malt. It is clean and precise, within an almost perfect balance of Challenger and Goldings hops..

We have tried this beer 4 times.

We have given this beer an average score of Good.
