Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

AndrewGood05 May 2007 Pale gold colour with a periferal head. Dry sharp hops dominate with an earthy bite. Hint of lemon peel. My favourite of the 1648 range I think.

IanAcceptable16 Jun 2007 Hazy gold, thin off white head. Decent hop, floral tangy citrus. Some yeast on aroma. Malts are quite juicy. Good floral hop finish which builds to a nettley citrus zing.

AndrewExcellent08 Dec 2006 Good drying pink grapefruit hops in this excellent session beer. I was surprise to find this on as it's quite rare.

AndrewExceptional21 Mar 2006 Fantastic. I had this 2 days ago and it was great them but even better now. The intense bitterness had subsided a bit so the grapefruit with hints of lemon came through more. I even detected a dash of strawberry. It still had a sharp bitterness especially in the finish. Great stuff
AndrewExcellent18 Mar 2006 What a great beer. Pale yellow with a very sharp drying bitterness. Heavy hints of lemon and grapefruit. Wonderful
BrianExcellent27 Jan 2006 Almost looks like a lager. Fresh, juicy hoppy bite. Good stuff
