Bear & Ragged StaffAcceptable12 Jul 2011 There is a lot going on in this ale but it seems a bit muddled. Difficult to define other than to say a well kept mediocre beer.

St Austell HSD

5.00% ABV.

Our most famous and notorious ale. HSD is a full-bodied strong Cornish ale brimming with a kaleidoscope of flavours. Brewed with plenty of malt and lashings of English Fuggles and Golding hops, HSD is truly a classic ale of considerable depth and complexi.

We have tried this beer 11 times.

We have given this beer an average score of Good to Excellent.
