Sunday lunchtime - deja vu from my last visit. Out of the Becket and into the very quiet Bell & Crown. Just one local and the barman doing a crossword. I enjoyed the peace and quiet and a lovely pint of Gadd’s and read about the development of Folkestone Harbour in the 18 Century.

About 1 - I had walked out of the Becket as it was quite busy with no-one behind the bar. The Bell and Crown however had just two customers and the chef sitting at the bar. Got a bit busier including a mature gent in shorts claiming it was warm - but he did have a Scots accent.
