Thirty-five minutes between trains and time for a couple of quick ones. It’s a lovely pub and I must find time to actually visit it, rather than just pass through.

This pub has doubled in size and acquired an impressive in-house brewery since my last visit. There was a bouncer on the door tonight and large notices saying “No Football Colours”, following a Blades game this afternoon. It was only after I had been sat here half an hour that it dawned on me that I was breaking all the rules in my red, white and black scarf.

Evening. I was amazed at the transformation of the new extension in 8 weeks from building site to fully fledged in-house brewery and extra bar area and seating. The first 4 brews of "The Tapped Brew Co." have been made and are now conditioning towards first sales next week.

The pub is found in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S1 2BP.
Recently renovated pub in the former refreshment rooms at Sheffield railway station. Serves beers from Thornbridge brewery and a large range of other brews. Entrances from the front of the station as well as from the platforms. At January 2013 the pub was extended into a further part of the old refreshment rooms with floor to ceiling cream coloured original tiling. This extension also houses an in-house brewery "The Tapped Brew Co." which can be viewed over a neck high glass partition. The extension has three handpumps for special occasions and may be reserved for private functions.
We have visited this pub 45 times, seen 185 different beers and tried 58 of them.
