Met a couple of friends here for a mid afternoon to early evening session, sadly just the one non national bland beer on offer we left once we'd finished the barrel off between us.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Woodforde's - Wherry3.80ExcellentPerfect right up to the final scrapings.

16 Jan 2022 (Magnus Greel)
Mid Sunday afternoon busy with family groups in the front bar with others occupying the rear. Friendly efficient service with each pint served with no room to spare. I didn't bother including the usual offerings here.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Woodforde's - Wherry3.80GoodNot as watery as expected with the recognisable flavours coming through.
Lancaster - Red4.80GoodNot a fan of chewy 'red' beers but this was very good, smoky yet smooth and dry with hints of chestnuts.
27 Dec 2021 (ChrisE)
Very busy on a Monday afternoon.

15 Nov 2021 (Magnus Greel)
As expected fairly quiet for a late Monday afternoon to early evening session and enjoy a few pints and a pizza, one is spoilt for choice thanks to Ashford's many superb real ale town centre boozers.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Marston's - Old Empire IPA5.70Excellent
Exe Valley - Autumn Glory4.50ExcellentRich ruby colour with a figgy toasted malt aroma and bran muffin cinder toffee flavours.
Oakham - JHB3.80AcceptableRather tired and lacking condition, the cask was taken off once we'd voiced our displeasure.
Greene King - Abbot5.00Not Tried
Sharp's - Doom Bar4.00Not TriedWest country ales well represented tonight...

BeerABVScoreNotes
Black Sheep - Monty Python's Dead Parrot4.10Excellent
Shepherd Neame - Hop to the Future4.50ExcellentI was put off by the description of tropical and citrus fruit notes but I am glad that I tried it as it is not to citrusy at all.
Hook Norton - Off the Hook4.30Not Tried
17 Oct 2021 (ChrisE)
Busy with a mix of diners and drinkers.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Wantsum - Imperium4.00GoodA short measure but as I was only paying £1.49 with a voucher I decided not to complain.
