I had been to Kings Cross to try the new Fullers pub, and then decided to hop on a train to Rochester, this was my first port of call, and it was excellent. Good service and friendly bar staff plus a superb ham sandwich.

A comfortable and relaxing place to enjoy a couple of pints before catching the train to Ebbsfleet.

Although this pub is actually very close to Rochester station it always feels as if you have walked half way to Chatham, perhaps because you pass lots of other interesting looking pubs on the way. This is a really nice place to enjoy a pint without the interference of a juke box, pool table, or fruit machines. A locally brewed ale is usually available.

A smart, stylish and comfortable bar located at the Chatham end of Rochester High Street. Closed 26th April 2019 for site conversion to housing. By summer 2021 all works completed and ios a block of apartments now signed as Britannia House.
