Fairly quiet for a Friday evening a few groups dotted about we perched at the table by the entrance and enjoyed the gentle breeze coming through the open doors on a muggy summer's evening.

Mid evening visit. A singing group was in full voice in the upstairs area with a variety of harmonics put to a number of contemporary pop and more traditional songs, very good they were. The barmaid said the owner is concentrating on the delicatessen in the old pub's premises for the moment then attention may fall to commissioning the brewery intended for here.
BeerABVScoreNotes

Mid evening visit. Good chat with a travelling wine sales rep who was adamant that Oakham Citra was the best Citra beer and who could gainsay him.

Evening visit, my first to the new location. Now just a pub rather than a micropub. Seems more emphasis on keg than real ales now too. Good to see bar billiards upstairs. The pub still has an expectation to set up the brewery but apparently efforts are currently concentrated in getting the delicatessen set up in the old micropub premises just a few doors along.

The pub is found in Broadstairs, Kent, CT10 1LR.

First incarnation was a former Pet Food shop converted into a micropub in 5 Charlotte Street specialising in cask ales and ciders. Opened on the 30th November 2012. The casks were visible racked behind the bar behind glass frontage. High tables with similarly high wall mounted bench seating abounds. Plans to relocate to a nearby much larger street corner premise at 11-13 Charlotte Street came to fruition on Friday Friday 5th May 2017 and this incorporates a brewhouse for what will be Broadstairs Town Brewery perhaps in 202??! 8 handpumps and 10 keg beer taps in the new location. Bar billiards upstairs where is some extra seating too. The new venue is too large to be a micropub so best called an alehouse or really just a pub.

We have visited this pub 77 times, seen 136 different beers and tried 93 of them.
