Visits Details

28 Nov 2022 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening visit until close and a relaxed departure time.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Broken Drum Home Brew - Gaspode Mild3.90GoodRefreshing
Broken Drum Home Brew - Vimes5.00AcceptableBrewed for the brewery's 5th birthday. Came across much stronger than its declared ABV, pity about loss of condition, as nearing end of cask
BritHop (originally cuckoo or contract brewed at Franklins) - Something in the Woodshed4.00Not Tried
31 Oct 2022 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening visit until close. It was Green Hop time tonight here, bar none.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Northdown - Green Hop4.00ExcellentMy first pint. OK but not much condition. Rather sour dry hop taste
Goody Ales - Bleangate Brewery - Goodness Gracious Me Green Hop4.80Acceptable2022 version, OK but not much condition
Bexley - Kent Green Hop (Hukins' Bullion) Pale Ale4.30AcceptableRather shone out like a beacon of the three ales here tonight. Delicious but as the barman said it was a new cask on today and only 4 hours on tap
26 Sep 2022 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening visit until close. Good to see Andy the Guv at the helm, only second time for me since end of Covid-19 lockdowns, I think.

Evening visit until close. 3 others in.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Robinsons - Trooper4.70GoodGood condition but bland in taste. Completely hidden was the Robinsons traditional sulphurous nose and taste. Presumably blandised to make it nationally saleable
Bexley - BOB (Bexley's Own Beer)4.20AcceptableHeld a head but was short of full condition
Tonbridge - Rustic4.00Not Tried
Northdown - Pale Ale Mary4.00Not Tried
06 Sep 2022 (Philip Pirrip)
