Quite a session here after work with a good-sized group of work colleagues. This kind of thing is now rare and needs planning, rather than being part of the culture as it once was.

I had to see a man about a dog in the very early evening after work, and this seemed as good a place as any to conduct our business. I then found a couple of former work colleagues in situ, so it was good to catch up with them too.

I liked this place. Warm, bustling and friendly. Also had The Seeker (I think) trying to hide its Charles Wells provenace.
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00AcceptableMissing that Harvey's trademark yeasty ywang.

This has been consistently the best pub in the area where I work for years now Ė so not obvious why I have become such an infrequent visitor. Itís just too near to the office for comfort I think.
Old School (OSB) - Absent IPA5.50ExcellentA really good, dry example of that rare breed, a full-strength, English IPA.

Traditional backstreet pub that is deservedly popular with locals and commuters alike. Good reputation for food and beer with frequent themed beer festivals through the two guest pumps.
