I attended a private function in an upstairs bar. Two cask beers available here, no doubt considerably more in the main bar downstairs. Splendid hospitality.

Evening. The pubs offers 5 one-third pints of craft fizz for £10 and I obviously did not participate but noticed existing real ale brands from Fuller's, Harviestoun, Ilkley, Inveralmond, RedWillow and Waun all on sale here on fizz too. Serious brand dilution!

17:30 Came here specifically to use up CAMRA vouchers. Busy on the canalside patio less so inside. Not a pub I really like. Most people seemed to be drinking anything but cask ale and the shouty rap music was intrusive.

Evening. Very quiet end of Bank Holiday here. Always find the pub lacking intimacy and warmth - too much of a corporate feel. The pub's smart menu folder "Discover World Beers" has a glossary entry for "Craft Brewer" defined as "A term referring to breweries opened since the late 1970s that produce speciality beers."
