Unfortunately this pub is closed and up for sale:word is that there is community interest in running it.In the meantime, a Friday evening pop up pub,selling beer from Richmond Brewing,is held in the village hall.

I don't often get to the re-opening of a pub:however today this pub has re-opened after a long period of dereliction and major refurbishments. The bar is now opposite the door, but it was so packed we couldn't really have a good look round.

Small stone built pub in the centre of this Swaledale village. Formerly the home of Swaled Ales. Refurbished and altered internally after a period of closure during which time some of the structure deteriorated.

We have visited this pub 12 times, seen 13 different beers and tried 8 of them.
