Early Sunday evening and this pub has a relaxed atmosphere. I sat at the bar in the back area.
Partners - American Craft Ale4.50ExcellentA golden beer with plenty of US hop flavours.
Three Sods - Trade Union4.50GoodVery pale and hoppy. Just a little bit short of body I thought.

Exceptionally crowded tonight and they are running out of both beer and glasses. I list only the beers that were available on the back bar I could not get near the front bar.
Rudgate - Wangle Hopper4.80AcceptableI had expected from the name for this to be a hoppy beer. In fact it is an amber-coloured beer with red fruit flavours.

I had planned to go to the Rake where Bianca Road Brewery were holding court, but that little pub was packed beyond capacity. Looked in here instead and found my old mate Colin G installed in the back bar so decided to stay for a couple.
Kent - Old Jamaica5.10ExcellentA sticky, black Stout with lots of ginger.
Settle - Dragon Fire5.00GoodHazy old gold in colour. Pint suffered from warm temperature which dulled the hop flavours.

Late evening visit prompted by this site's scribe, the Venerable Harris, and his recent visit. A pub I went off when its prices became unreasonable - they seem more London normal these days or I have become more tolerant!
Adnams - Cashmere IPA4.70ExcellentNot sure what I'd get with lemon, gooseberry and coconut mentioned on the pump clip. In fact a refreshing subtle blend, no way in my hated lemon juice category at all

In theory just a pit-stop after a train journey from Hastings to London Bridge, but it was so unusual to find this pub quiet that it was a pleasure to linger for a while.
Elland - South Sea Pale4.10ExcellentGreat stuff golden and hoppy, with orange flavours.
Loddon - P.O.T.U.S. 4.70GoodQuite a full-bodied, Golden Ale.

Packed-out venue for pre-Christmas drinks with Robert from Horley and Dave from Peterborough. Luckily they had got there early and bagged a table in the back room. I did not note the wide range of cask beers available.
Empire - Twisted Melon Blonde4.10ExcellentGolden. Full-bodied and well-rounded and a touch sweet. Lemony/fruity hop flavours and coconut.
Beartown - Pale Zesty Bear4.40GoodUnsurprisingly, given its name, this turned out to be pale and zesty (and rather hazy).
Dawkins - Resolution IPA5.30GoodAmber/brown in colour. A strong Bitter not really a full-blown IPA in my book (but what do I know?). Not at all bad.
