A smart pub in what is, by local standards, a pretty village. Busy on Mother’s Day, particularly in the restaurant area.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Crouch Vale - Brewers Gold4.00ExcellentAlways a good, light, hoppy pint.
Harwich Town - Pin-Up Natural Blonde3.80GoodA pleasant, pale beer with a bitter finish. I am assuming that the Pin-Up beers continue to be brewed by Harwich Town.

A busy Saturday lunchtime with lots of diners. Looked to be a good beer choice until the menu was examined in detail. Looks like it has been put together by someone with no real interest in good beer.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Crouch Vale - Brewers Gold4.00AcceptableToo cold and did not appear to have any body. I have tasted much better.
Greene King - London Glory (superseded by 4.1% version)4.00AcceptablePretty bland beer that could have been IPA.

Large pub with 2 main rooms; one seemed laid up for food but the other was much more of a beer sanctuary. The service was excellent and the beer line up interesting. The interior was that of a solid, polished respectable pub. Good stuff.
BeerABVScoreNotes
