Fairly quiet when we arrived at 6:15 p.m., by 7:15 p.m. the restaurant was very busy. Unfortunately we found the food expensive for what it was and the beer was not on form. Nevertheless we will try again. Staff and service were good.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Wolf - Edgefield Old Spot4.50PoorApparently a special brew just for this pub - I think this is Straw Dog renamed - and not a very good example. Straw dog is a light, refreshing, slightly sweet wheat beer, a good accompaniment to most food - this was dull and uninteresting.

The pub is found in Edgefield, Norfolk, NR24 2RL.

A 17th century country pub that tries to be all things to all people i.e a local, a gastro pub and a place to stay. Judging from the amount of awards it has won it appears to do a good job at all three. The setting is lovely, the interior is clean, light and airy, the staff are charming.

We have visited this pub once, seen 1 beer and tried it.
