This town centre pub opens at 9am, and by the time we arrived at 6pm, quite a few of the regulars were more than a little worse for wear. The sort of evening where you keep your head down and try not to catch anyone’s eye. Littlehampton is not West Sussex’s classiest town and this is not its classiest pub.

Already busy by 11.30, opens at 9am. Steady flow of locals coming and going.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Littlehampton (formerly called Anchor Springs) - Mild3.60ExcellentObviously popular with the locals as 2 pints were poured before my order went in. Dark brown and fairly sweet with a biscuity malt character and faint berry fruit hop flavour. Very drinkable, a true mild. My score 16/20.
Littlehampton (formerly called Anchor Springs) - Undercurrent4.20GoodAmber best bitter with a toffeeish malt character balanced by some hop flavour. Fairly dry finish. My score 15/20.
Littlehampton (formerly called Anchor Springs) - LA Gold3.70AcceptablePale golden with a fairly sharp piney hop flavour. Dry, bitter finish. My score 14/20.
