Time for a very quick one in here before the London train arrived. Not been here for years. A Greene King seasonal beer also on, but I neglected to write down its name.

1130 visit and first stop today. I was last here ten years ago. This is a convenient stopping point en-route to/from Harwich whilst waiting for the connecting train. It was much better (ale-wise) back then, today, only GK ales available. The roaring fire has gone but the bacon sandwich was welcome...

Popular, busy and traditional type station buffet bar located on the London bound platform. The station is technically in Lawford rather than Manningtree. Three handpumps on. Hot and cold food and all day breakfasts served.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 4 different beers and tried 2 of them.
