Three of us decided to call in here for a nightcap before our trains home, fairly quiet for a mid to late evening Friday so finding somewhere to sit wasn't an issue.

Pleasingly quiet in the early afternoon.

A quiet early evening in this very pleasant pub.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Arbor Ales - Sean of the Red5.10ExcellentHazy red/brown. A nice, US-style Red Ale. Initial taste is of caramel and then the hops work through.
Vibrant Forest - Citra5.00ExcellentWow. Absolutely no shortage of Citra hops in this one.

We were guests at a friend's retirement do at 4pm however we arrived an hour earlier and secured a table for 5 of us which we had to vacate at 7pm for a reservation. Fairly quiet upon arrival however this soon become standing room only as expected for a Friday evening.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Redemption - Trinity3.00GoodRefreshing zesty and flavoursome for its ABV.
Vibrant Forest - Black Forest4.90AcceptableA break from Trinity I found this syrupy sickly black coffee gloop hard work.
Neepsend - Demeter6.00Not TriedI'm unaware of any of us who sampled this.

Saturday afternoon and full but not uncomfortable. Beers are very reasonably priced for the area, unfortunately I forgot to note down the three real ales that were on offer.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Redemption - Trinity3.00ExcellentVery tasty for a 3% beer.

Late afternoon- just 5 other customers in - a very nice feel to the place - a proper pub. One off my "wish list".
BeerABVScoreNotes
East London (ELB) - Foundation Bitter4.20GoodQuite similar to the Pig and Porter - and same ABV - but a little more hoppy flavour.
Pig & Porter - Pale Series Citra4.20GoodA very nice pale ale in good condition. This was labelled up as "pale series loungers and idlers ADHA527" which the barman could not shed a my light on. £3.50 with Camra discount - very good for this part of the country.

Quiet mid afternoon, few in the sunshine and a few at the bar. Disappointing to find only 2 beers and when I asked for a traditional copper coloured bitter, I was told "we don't really sell bitter here"! Now I don't think she was correct, but I know what she meant!
BeerABVScoreNotes
Redemption - Trinity3.00GoodFor its gravity, a good taste. Served a little too cold.
