Me and daughter met up with a few of her friends/relations who are at Goldsmiths. I really liked this place and the bloke behind the bar was wearing an Interpol T shirt! Nice.

Evening. Never been here in my past drinking career but passed it on the bus since aged 11. A obvious student haunt but at Central London prices. I counted 22 gleaming towering lit up fizz taps.

Busy at 8:30pm, with all tables taken – we stood at the bar.

The pub is found in New Cross, Greater London, SE14 6AF.

Formerly the Goldsmiths Tavern, this pub was substantially renovated and re-launched as the New Cross House in 2011 (actually a return to an earlier name). Not to be confused with the New Cross Inn, which stands across the road. Not much of the original decor survives, although there is one nice fragment of wall tiles above the piano. The front room is for drinkers, with more of a restaurant feel at the rear. 4 handpumps adorn the bar counter to compete with a large number of high rise keg taps. There is also a back yard. Metropolitan Pub Co. is a pub brand of Greene King.

We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 9 different beers and tried 3 of them.
