I have noticed that my office and this nice little pub are linked by the C10 bus route. Unfortunately the C10 bus route on a rainy evening rush hour turns out to be a little vision of hell on earth. The first and last time I shall take this route after work. Very pleasant in here though.

Nice cooking smells and a group of medical students discussing unpleasant bodily functions. Relaxed and welcoming.

In Long Lane, once a Shepherd Neame pub, after a period of closure and near-dereliction, this community pub was re-opened in 2011. It is a smallish place with a front area for drinkers and a more intimate area towards the rear, where food is served. In the same ownership as the Queen’s Head, Bloomsbury. 5 handpumps.

We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 10 different beers and tried 4 of them.
