Lunchtime gathering with some friends, just us at first but the pub soon became quite busy. A nice pub with plenty of breweriana.

Mid-afternoon. Unfortunately I arrived in the middle of an altercation between the barman and a regular that ended in the latter storming out after demanding and not receiving an apology. The atmosphere was strained and I did not linger.

I really like this pub, a group of us met here for a social occasion. The landlady proudly showed me a Beswick Double Diamond running man figurine that she had just purchased.

A busy Friday evening and my first visit here, I was very impressed with this place, a good civilised place to enjoy a few beers without having to suffer television screens, a proper traditional pub with good service and good beer, excellent. I enjoyed looking at the breweriana and other paraphernalia around the bar.

Lunchtime visit and I really liked this pub, which I had not been in before. A no-nonsense, traditional sort of place. Two large slabs of cheese (Gorgonzola and mature Cheddar) were placed on the bar for customers to help themselves to, and the landlady made a point of urging non-regulars, such as myself, to make sure we got stuck in.
