There are 10 times as many outside tables here now as in my photo on here. But at 5pm they are all taken - so sitting inside.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Buxton - Trolltunga6.30ExcellentFrom keg. I've been putting off trying this challenging-sounding Gooseberry Gose for too long. Inevitably it is lovely. The sourness not overpowering. A pinch of salt. And lovely fresh gooseberry.
Turning Point - Session Pale4.30GoodMurky gold. Fruity, with zero bitterness.

The pub is found in Hackney, Greater London, E9 5EN.

Hackney Wick has seen a transformation from grim area of industrial units to thriving ‘creative’ quarter. Only problem is, all the traditional pubs had closed down. The Crate Brewery was established in July 2012 in a former industrial premises and is a combination of brewpub and pizza restaurant, although with a predominately ‘pub’ feel. There is a large, high-ceilinged room and outside seating (some in boats) beside the canal. Initially the five-barrel brewery kit was visible in a room alongside, but in July 2013 the brewery moved to larger premises nearby. Inside, the furniture is made of recycled packing cases and pallets. It stands literally at the gate of the Olympic Park.

We have visited this pub 58 times, seen 103 different beers and tried 61 of them.
