The pub is found in Colchester, Essex, CO1 2BN.

Neighbourhood pub in a residential area just ten minutes walk from Colchester Town railway station. It was established in 1878 as the Blue Boar and for most of its history has been tied to the Trumanís Brewery of East London. The name change to New Town Tavern is quite recent. Although a single bar pub, there are two distinct spaces, with a rear area with sofas and a pool table a few steps down from the main bar. Rear courtyard garden. At the time of writing (summer 2012) this pub is a good outlet for the local Sticklegs Brewery.

We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 7 different beers and tried 3 of them.
