My first visit here, and I liked it. We enjoyed some good value lunch time snacks with our beer.

14:00 visit. Easily found, to the rear of Town Square shopping centre and the High Street. Very impressive ale range on and some decent value food availble too. An all round nice pub to while away a couple of hours whilst in Oldham. A top, current 2013 gbg and no less than nine times previous in: 2002/5-12.

Found a short stroll from the High Street In Clegg Street, towards the rear of the Town Square shopping centre, this genuine freehouse, once owned by Gartside Brewery, is a shrine to real ale in the area, with no less than seven handpumps in use plus real cider, perry and an extensive foreign bottle range. Good value food menu is available weekdays. The feature, stone fireplace is over 200 years old.
