20:00 visit. A short bus ride from Liscard centre, and not far from my "base", soon finds this genuine local type. Friendly place, and the current scaffolding outside suggests some sprucing up going on. Some decent ales on too. Settled down here for a few good ales...

The pub is found in New Brighton, Merseyside, CH45 1JP.

Traditional, single roomed community local in Rake Lane, once again thriving due to the enthusiasmn of a decent landlady. Plenty of local pictures of times past in this unspoilt interior. Four guest ales available and the pub hosts various sports teams, live music and quiz nights. Out of the GBG for over 14 years but now firmly established once again.

We have visited this pub once, seen 4 different beers and tried them all.
