18:45 visit. A short walk from the nearby Merton Inn and I soon found this place. Nice conversion. Good local crowd in, and now, as seems to be fairly normal up this way, live screenings of major football matches, something I've rarely seen in the South-East? The atmosphere was good, and the ale range even better, and the price was top value at £1.59 a pint! For this, my penultimate Mersey pub visit this trip, I stayed for a while...

Former Wetherspoon found in the central shopping district in the Triad Centre. This is a conversion of a former retail premises that opened in November 1998. Housed underneath the Triad tower block, an early 1970s building, of which, the supporting pillars feature both inside and out of the bar. Now operated after the Wetherspoon disposal with no real ale available.

We have visited this pub once, seen 8 different beers and tried 4 of them.
