16 Oct 2013 (Stephen Harris)
A brief, early evening visit to meet up with my mate Kevin. There seemed to be a bit of an edge to the atmosphere and Kevin said I had just missed an incident that involved the attendance of an ambulance.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Everards (see entries against Joule's & Robinsons whilst its new brewery was being built) - Cambridge Brewing Sgt. Pepper4.20GoodA bit of an odd one this. A spicy, golden beer with rye in the mash and some peppercorns. The pepperyness starts as a subtle hint but grows through the pint.
Greene King - Ruddles Best3.70Not Tried
Wychwood - 21st Amendment Brewery American Bitter Red4.40Not Tried

Pavement and doorway smokers inhibit ease of entry and there were signs of early inebriation by some punters well before lunchtime.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Moorhouse's - Ruby Witch4.60GoodDespite venue misgivings this beer was perfectly acceptable, ruby and malty with a sweetish smooth roundness. My score 15/20.

The pub is found in Brixton, Greater London, SW9 7DG.

Traditional "wooden" style Wetherspoon's. Beer range was acceptable during a beer festival, but suspect not that good at other times as the general atmosphere gave the impression it was not a real ale drinkers' haven.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 6 different beers and tried 2 of them.
