Early evening waiting for my fish and chips to be cooked next door (not recommended). Nice ambience - freebie snacks on the bar. One other beer on tap from Cottage.

Just a very quick visit as a group of people sitting at the big table were talking very loudly.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Dartford Wobbler (re-named from Millis) - Blakes Bitter3.70AcceptableA house beer, I thought it looked straw coloured in the lighting conditions in the bar but described as amber coloured on the clip.

After work - very quiet. The micro pub boom in Dover is taking a toll here according to the staff.
BeerABVScoreNotes

Early evening - handful of regulars in. Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name. Say no more.
BeerABVScoreNotes
1648 - Signature4.40GoodLight, refreshing.
Cottage - Trick or Treat4.40GoodIs there a brewer that DOESN'T have a Halloween themed beer? Newly on and bit hazy - needed another few hours to settle?. The regulars agreed it was smooth and nutty.

Back to the work local after being on my travels last week - early Tues evening - only four or five in - but warm welcome as always.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Weltons - Broadwood4.00ExcellentFirst pint a little hazy but this was swapped immediately by the landlady without me asking. A sign of a good ale pub. Great body with an excellent bitter hoppiness that made you want go on supping.
