The Mitre Tavern (Harveys Brewery) Visits Details
09 Apr 2017 (ChrisE)
Sunday lunchtime and only a couple of other customers (three by the time I left). I like the unspoilt interior of this pub but found the welcome rather lacking on this occasion.

By now, Ian, Martin and I had had a few. Actually, they'd had quite a few. We discussed what's on our "drunk play list" of songs. Apparently it's not acceptable to have, "Oh what a night".

Busy with locals and a visit from the London based mild drinkers who took over the snug.
Harveys - Dark Mild (or Sussex XX Mild) 3.00 On form here, sweet, malty and grainy with a berry fruit finish. My score 16/20. Harveys - Old Ale (or Sussex XXXX Old Ale) 4.30 Excellent condition here, sweet malts balanced by some hoppiness and a lingering roasty finish. My score 17/20.
