13:30 Came here specifically to look at the bar back which appears to have survived the wartime bomb damage. Decided worth putting forward for the Heritage website. Pub fairly busy.

13:30 Lunch stop. First visit for me. Impressed, good basic drinkers pub. Interesting bar back. The Who's Greatest Hits was playing, a nice connection to the Marquee.

Probably the first time I have ever been in here wearing a jacket and tie – I got the look of pity that I deserve and retreated to the inner sanctum at the very back.

A good pub with nice etched windows, and to my surprise under. £4 per pint.

I used to come in here a lot as a teenager before gigs at the Marquee Club, which stood a few doors down the street. Pleased to see that 30 years on it is still fairly rough and ready and un-picky about who they serve. Playing some good CDs too.

A small Fuller's house on Wardour Street in the heart of Soho. Established here since at least the 1830s, it was once one of twelve pubs on Wardour Street. Has a cordoned-off area for outside drinking in the alleyway alongside. Lively atmosphere in the evenings.
