Mid evening and fairly busy inside and out, pleased to find this unspoilt pub as appealing on the inside as on the outside, yet to be converted to an IKEA showroom. Alas was on the motorbike so a pint of Coke had to suffice.

Went to meet my brother-in-law and family around lunchtime to find the place packed both inside and out. Managed to get a table in the warm as a group left as we arrived. Outside there was a barbecue and drinks and the forecourt was heaving with people awaiting the arrival of morris dancers. A very convivial atmosphere.

Very busy in both bar and restaurant areas for our lunchtime visit to celebrate my brother-in-law's ruby wedding anniversary. We had very tasty meals in a convivial environment with pleasant service.

We arrived at just past 12 (when it opened) and were surprised to see people sitting outside drinking and plenty of people the inside of the pub too. Popular place. We sat in the garden at the side (which I'd never realised was there before) and let Isabel run about.

Boxing day afternoon and it was packed. There was a morris dance troop in the pub playing the accordian and singing rude songs. The pub interior is full of character and this is just the type of pub I want to be in on a cold winter's afternoon
BeerABVScoreNotes
Larkins - Traditional3.40ExcellentSlightly more syrupy than usual but still a very good pint of beer.

The pub is found in Colemans Hatch, East Sussex, TN7 4EJ.

A fantastic 15th century pub in Ashdown Forest. Although lots of signage shows Harvey's Brewery it is not one of its tied pubs.

We have visited this pub 5 times, seen 7 different beers and tried 3 of them.
