It may be the last week of May, but the blazing log fire in here was very welcome on a cold and rainy late afternoon.

The pub is found in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, OX14 5BZ.
This pub was established at the front of the Morland Brewery in 1993 to serve as the brewery tap. Unfortunately, the brewery fell to Greene King in 2000 and was closed, leaving the tap without a brewery. The pub however continued and as well as selling GK-brewed Morland beers it also sells guest beers, including, quite often, those from Abingdon’s replacement brewery, Loose Cannon. It is a large and comfortable pub. Pub sold by Greene King to Star Pubs and Bars in 2015 as a result of its purchase of Spirit Group.
