Evening visit. Heard it had been refurbished, with an enhanced beer range too, so made my first successful visit after years of passing by. First reaction is that the owners are ambitious for success here but the cask beer price at £4 pp was over the top for the area and would deter future visits by me.

Evening. Lights on at 2235 but all doors locked. Peek through window implied closed for the night yet it had only just got dark!

The pub is found in Woolwich, Greater London, SE18 3RN.

At the southern extremity of Woolwich on the border with Eltham this is an imposing detached building in Red Lion Place just set back from half way up the western approach road to Shooters Hill. Former Beasley's then Courage house. Refurbished in Spring 2016 which did retain the attractive old bar back but little else. 4 handpumps.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 4 different beers and tried 1 of them.
