03 May 2018 (Philip Pirrip)
Unsated late evening visit at 11.20 with window advertising midnight close. A hoodie came to the crack in the front doors and told me it was closed "No customers". Customers do require to get in the place to gain that role!

The pub is found in Charlton, Greater London, SE7 8UD.

One of two pubs in The Village. Refurbished some time ago and now sports bare floorboards throughout. A single L-shaped bar serves a single bar floor. Tell-tale doors show a past multi-room venue. 8 handpumps. Large garden. Re-opened once more in early September 2015, seemingly out of a Pubco's grip, with a greater emphasis on cask ales plus some live music. Several upstairs rooms opened in summer 2017, one with a bar but not serving real ale. 25p price discount on pints only of cask ales for card carrying CAMRA members.

We have visited this pub 126 times, seen 315 different beers and tried 151 of them.
