23 Apr 2017 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening until 11.30pm close. To think that 14 hours before the road outside would have been a throng of London Marathon runners. Marathon Weekend beer festival in full swing.

Evening until a later than usual midnight close. A most lively Ska band was playing and had most of the floor dancing, singing along and arm waving. The lady saxophonist was particularly impressive.

BeerABVScoreNotes
Purple Moose - Elderflower Ale4.00Good
Staggeringly Good - Thai-Ranno Citrus IPA4.00GoodClearly unfined as very cloudy. Odd citrus taste which I could not quite describe, perhaps a bit spicy
Staggeringly Good - Staggersaurus IPA4.00GoodBrewery has stated it no longer uses "fish-guts" and was obvious from the cloudiness of this beer

20 Feb 2017 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening until an unusually (for a Monday) 11.30pm close, maybe due to new manager Josh in charge tonight. At end of session I tried a keg Magic Rock but it was fabulously over-carbonated and frankly 'orrible to taste.

The pub is found in Charlton, Greater London, SE7 8UD.

One of two pubs in The Village. Refurbished some time ago and now sports bare floorboards throughout. A single L-shaped bar serves a single bar floor. Tell-tale doors show a past multi-room venue. 8 handpumps in banks of 4 and 4 on the separate legs of the L. Large garden. Re-opened once more in early September 2015, seemingly out of a Pubco's grip, with a greater emphasis on cask ales and real ciders plus some live music. 10% price discount on pints only of cask ales for card carrying CAMRA members.

We have visited this pub 89 times, seen 260 different beers and tried 117 of them.
