Mid-afternoon visit. Busy with locals tucking in to a pork pie and cheese buffet. It wasn’t clear if this was a free-for-all, or something special, so I avoided the temptation to tuck in.

A small, former Courage Brewery pub which stands between the town centre and the River Thames. The old Walton Manor House is immediately behind. The pub retains a traditional two room layout, albeit with an enlarged access between the rooms, and has a small garden.
