This place is normally full of people eating fish and chips but fortunately for me there was a power failure and the kitchen was closed so I was able to enjoy my pint in a good pub atmosphere. I thought it ironic that a pub next door to a nuclear power station should have no electricity.

13:30 visit. First visit/call on this nostalgic day of steam railways and vintage bus travel from a bygone age in a particularly nice part of Kent where time has stood still. Nice pub, fairly busy on this sunny day and with a good fish menu too.
